@Tutanota I don't understand the 'score' for each European parliament member on the website https://fightchatcontrol.eu
When I check the profile of a Dutch PvdA (thus S&D) representative it says 'supports'. The contrary of what one would expect.
But in the details it says 'Chat Control 1.0 Extension - supports' and 'Chat Control 2.0 - Opposed'
What is this about?
@rrr @Tutanota
In March, all Dutch S&D MEPs voted against a proposal by the Greens/EFA to withdraw the vote on Chat Control 2.0, which is why they are listed as ‘supports’. https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/PV-10-2026-03-25-RCV_EN.pdf
A day later, almost everyone from PRO voted against Chat Control 1.0. https://mepwatch.eu/10/vote.html?v=189270&country=nl
If you have confirmation that the MEP is against #ChatControl, you can forward it to: contact[at]fightchatcontrol.eu

I would recommend taking a look at these timelines:

Chat Control 1.0 and 2.0 refer to the sequence of the proposals, but more importantly, to the content of the bill.
1.0 was active for five years in the form of voluntary scanning by social media platforms. Its extension was rejected in March.
2.0 was a proposal introduced in 2022 that would have made the scanning of emails and private messages mandatory.
