I asked the DSB CEO about the standardisation issue. Denmark is probably the worst EU country for type approval for trains imho. And he flatly denied it was a Danish problem and blamed the EU Agency. Ridiculous. #CrossBorderRail
After the #CrossBorderRail launch event at Hbf there was a follow up at the Danish Embassy to which I wasn’t invited (I’d not known it was even happening)
And I was then told by someone there my work was cited at the event 🤔

Jonas Boström@svenuleman.eurosky.social Yes, until the Czech Vectrons are approved in Denmark it's changed to a Danish Vectron at Hamburg-Altona.

There are many Vectrons in use today in Denmark though, so approval of the Czech ones will probably only take 5-10 years…

However I remembered that there was this very bicycle hating politician, turns out that was her predecessor (Schreiner). Schreiner resigned bc she had copied too much of her doctoral thesis. I am not sure what is more sad, that in the AI age German (conservative) politicians only resign for lying their way to a doctor title or that they think a doctor title is relevant

Wonder how many politicians write their speeches with ChatGPT. Maybe Ms. Bunde did that like digital minister - who used an LLM to generate his speech. That is apparently also fine
