Huh! I was today years old when I realised that the mighty @libreoffice has a great tool for generating QR. In a world where online QR code generators tend to re route via themselves this is an awesome tool to find! #opensource
@concretedog @libreoffice If you are using @kde you can generate QR code for any item in your clipboard very easily, see example here https://www.howtogeek.com/kde-plasma-kicks-windows-11s-butt-with-this-one-feature/ I personally use it for generating Code128 barcodes, but QR codes are possible, too.

I'm talking about Klipper—not to be confused with Clippy.

@enqueue i don't even have that. not saying that clipboard manager doesn't catch all text i copied to this point i just use a notepad if i want to copy few things in order.
@hacknorris Sorry, I am not an expert in this. All that I know is that if I copy something into clipboard, the KDE clipboard manager will allow me to generate a barcode or QR code for the content, see little icon next to the URL in the screenshot attached.
@enqueue nvm. found it have but only for text. lol.
