@rdns Quick question: can Rethink itself ever initiate requests to www.gstatic.com / gstatic.com?

Context: On GrapheneOS, Rethink logs recurring www.gstatic.com requests attributed to »MTP Host + 4 other apps« / Download Manager, often while charging. With Loopback enabled, would any Rethink-originated gstatic/Firebase/Crashlytics request always appear as Rethink? I couldn’t find a direct www.gstatic.com reference in the app repo. Any idea what to check next?

Rethink (the code) does not contact gstatic (or its subdomains).

The app dependencies (ex: Google Pay, Crashlytics) might, but we are not aware if it does.

In Loopback mode, most (only connectivity checks, if enabled, is not) traffic from Rethink is subject to DNS & firewall rules. The traffic should hence also be attributed to it as if Rethink was any other regular app.

Traffic attribution (on apps or on apps using Download Manager), depends on the OS impl.
