"Nobody wants to work anymore" is such a funny thing to say because nobody ever *wanted* to trade their life energy away for the right to continue existing. Nobody ever *wanted* to generate profit for corporations through exploitation.

Capitalism and puritanism internalize a "work ethic" into us, with significant help from the public school system (based on factory work, down to the bells between classes).

But really it's just internalized shame about having human needs and limitations.
