jumjatoday the police endangered the city for nearly an hour, for nothing but their own egos. they approached someone in a stolen vehicle they've known about for a long time, and created a dangerous emergency.
approximately 40 cop cars from at least three agencies (MCSO, NYSP, RPD) did a police chase for 45 minutes around and through the city repeatedly. a witness counted 37 police cars chasing the stolen truck on the highway, and 11 zooming through a downtown intersection moments after pedestrians cleared it.
their recklessness caused 5 crashes and multiple injuries. the stolen truck was totaled. they helped nobody. for nearly an hour they displayed absolute incompetence. when the truck crashed for the final time, a crowd of officers pulled the driver out and two cops kicked the shit out of him.
