I don't understand Crocs. Given all the holes and that they're slingbacks, they're presumably summer shoes but they're made of rubber which I think would make for super sweaty feet.

Anyone here wear them who can give me the down low?

@Axomamma
I wore Crocs for a while, and they aren't especially sweaty. You get pretty good airflow, enough to dry the sweat in the dry summers here in California. I don't remember particularly sweaty feet when I wore them in Singapore. The holes also let them drain if they get soaked, and they don't soak up water like cloth, so they're great if you're going to get a lot of rain.

@VATVSLPR Yeah, I'm in AZ, and I just can't see how it would be comfortable to be wearing rubber shoes when it's 110F.

Thanks for your testimony!

@Axomamma @VATVSLPR Why wear Crocs instead of Tevas? Really asking.
@msbellows Primarily the price but also they're ugly. If I'm going to spend $100 on flip flops I want leather and I want them pretty.
@msbellows @Axomamma
Crocs are slip-on rather than velcro, and some people really like that. I think they're also a little cushier.
@VATVSLPR They'd probably be fine here in AZ in the wintertime. I'll keep that thought.
@Axomamma they're beach/poolside shoes. using them as your regular sandals is silly
@anathema_device I live very, very far from any beach, and I don't do pool, so I can once again cross them off my list. Thanks!
@anathema_device @Axomamma Good in the garden too.
Always curious though how, with all that ventilation, my feet get so very sweaty.
I don't currently own a pair.
@frogglin @Axomamma you can buy better, more comfortable shoes that offer proper protection from bities and forks :)
@anathema_device @Axomamma Mine were a gift from an ex, who also sent me those rubbery charm things to stick in them. I did not do that, but I did use them to take the bins out, spot of weeding etc.
