Much of my childhood was spent playing here even though it was an eight mile round trip on my Schwinn stingray.
In those days there were tall slides careening down from redwood trees and a real steam locomotive to climb on. Now the playground looks too safe to be fun.
We enjoyed a lovely walk while plotting a future adventure to agate beach.
