BUT that doesn't make this story less frustrating. This is exactly the sort of thing we've all been calling out right along.

Cops and politicians think they can "always tell" because they've bought their own lies. But the reality is that we often are indistinguishable from our cis counterparts. And even if we're not, we still don't normally look like our birth genders.

These laws are stupid. These beliefs are stupid. These bigots are stupid. They're making everyone's lives harder. Nobody's life is better for this bigotry.

@CordiallyChloe As an Atlanta personal injury lawyer says, "the process *is* the punishment..." getting cuffed and stuffed, and doubtless throwin in with the wrong population... it's deliberate emotional trauma.

They don't just want to detransition people. They want to make them remove themselves from society. AND they want to normalise this kind of thing so they can point it at anyone they want to.
