Stop California’s Social Media Ban (A.B. 1709)

@eff I get the good intentions, but I don’t really feel like sharing my address with a government. Sorry.

@mattiz6276 @eff

You can call your senator without stating your address! If you fill out the eff form with a nearby address to you, it will tell you who the right contact for your area is without needing to submit the form. You can then search that person to find their website and office phone number. While it is useful to inlude your address in your call, you can instead just say you’re a constituent for their district if you’d like.

When i called, all that was required was the bill name, the position on the bill (yes or no), and my zipcode.

@mattiz6276 Are you registered to vote? Own a home or a car? Have a DL or ID?

Then the government already has your address.
