@eff I'm disappointed to see the EFF opposing AI preference signals for web services. Internet freedom is good because it empowers the individuals connected through the Internet; restricting efforts to allow people to control data use for AI training is antithetical to that aim. I note that EFF's own site makes use of robots.txt to control which parts of the site it wants to be crawled; I wonder whether EFF would also have opposed RFC9309 had the Robots protocol not already been embedded for 30 years?
