Can't wait for the scientific ACKCHYUALLYS on this one.
AND THERE IT IS!
@designthinkingcomic Thank you Reddit, very cool
@mjc0961 @designthinkingcomic "very cool"... I see what you did.
@gryzor Heh, I didn't intend that but I'll take it
@designthinkingcomic <commentator voice>19 minutes to first wellactually, that’s a strong performance Tony. A bit of a left-wing approach having it arrive on Reddit, all the seasoned Mastodon commentators would usually expect their home grown pool of pedants to nip in there first. They’ll be sick as parrots. Just goes to show that the price of mansplaining is eternal vigilance. Back to you in the studio Gary.
@designthinkingcomic Right on cue! 🥳
@aegir I mean I was practically begging for it.
@designthinkingcomic "you don't hear the trilobites complaining" yeah you know why? cuz they're DEAD

@designthinkingcomic Since you're asking for it.

Trilobites existed from around 520 million years ago until 250 million years ago. Whereas the cretaceous period lasted from around 140 million years ago to 65 million years ago.

So *actually* it wouldn't make sense for trilobites to complain about temperatures in an era they were not alive for.

@kurt Never change, Mastodon. Never change.
@designthinkingcomic ACKCHYUALLY you don't hear the trilobites complain because they're all dead now (but they were PISSED, probably).
@designthinkingcomic The trilobites weren't complaining because they were extinct. That's usually a clue. 😂
@designthinkingcomic How many bites is a trilobite ? It sounds like a lot. Do they have to be multiples of tri ?
@quietsnail Fun fact: I originally spelt it Trilobyte, but had to look it up as it seemed wrong.
