i think ill be self-employed for the summer, normal jobs dont want me so i think i should focus primarily on my independent gig for now
i hate how every job wants experience but no job wants to give experience

chat, how did yall manage to get your first job ? i applied to like over 100 positions so far and barely any results 😭 the job offers i did get also went nowhere so ugh

@ari as for my first normal job, I just got noticed I guess. I had a plain html page and one guy suggested to help him with his PHP project. After maybe a year I got an offer from the company he worked in. I knew only HTML & CSS and very little PHP & MySQL. Zero knowledge of JS. After a few months this guy left. That's how my web dev career started ~20 years ago

@ari my first job was in a skate-shop. The owners wanted me because I was rollerblading, and knew a lot about inline skates, so it was logical to be a consultant selling them :D

My first job that was in line (but without wheels) with my profession was when I was finishing my studies and a printing house called me as one of the best students in my course. After that the advertising agency called me, and I got a nice offer despite not having years of experience.
