I want to whine about my current fanfic WIP. Which is not progressing. At all. (whine whine whine whine)
I've been deflecting by adding Location information to the project.
But I'm feeling very intimidated by the whole thing. Why? Hmmm.
1. Current outline structure has a lot of blank spaces.
2. Trying to figure out the plot beats of TWO main protagonists, who don't meet until quite a way in.
3. A key plot-twist doesn't have a plausible way of happening. Oh, there is a semi-plausible way of it happening, but I am dissatisfied with it.
Huh. It has just occurred to me that maybe I should throw it away.
Then again, maybe I should throw the whole story away (sigh).

@kerravonsen

I don't want to give advice BC I've been not writing my main thing for too long. But for me, sometimes I go and write silly outtakes or side stuffs? Like "What happens main character forgets to lock her door and her nosy classmate comes in." They help me build ppl w/o needing the story for it!

@tiefling Thanks!
This being fanfic, at least I don't have the problem of not knowing what the main characters are like. But I DO need to figure out where their character arc needs to end up by the end of the story; I think that's part of my problem.

@kerravonsen that's fair! I almost never know where things are going, so I just sort of... let things zoom along.

I do hope u figure it out tho!

@tiefling I find I can't just let a story wander; I need a direction to go towards. Otherwise I am completely lost and disoriented.
@kerravonsen I mean I write slice of life + fantasy so pretty much the stories are as weird and chaotic as my life!
