I am currently stumbling my way through the #DoctorWho EDA novels, the majority of which are... not great. But more than anything I getting irritated at the big swings the books are taking with the continuity, all of which are contradicted by the later #BigFinish stories. Hopefully the Faction Paradox press a reset switch or some such bobbins.

I think we're used to extended media just poking around the edges of continuity... trying not to upset the apple cart. But I get the feeling these were just "well, it's been cancelled so let's just stomp all over it". I've just finished "Legacy of the Daleks" a nonsensical sequel to Dalek Invasion of Earth with... medieval knights?
