re: my last post: When my daughter was very small, they used to tell stories with their little set of wooden animals and felt animal hospital my friend had made them; in one of these stories there was a squirrel who had no patience for hospital work, but did have the patience to wait for the sheets of the birch trees to come free so she could write poems on them for the other animals who couldn't leave the hospital.
@handmade_ghost Aww, that's so nice
@Cheeseness I wish I had a book of those stories! So long ago now. 🥲
@handmade_ghost @Cheeseness
You’re a natural story-teller & excellent writer (judging by your eloquent alt-text descriptions).

@cynblogger @handmade_ghost I'll second that!

I can definitely relate to feeling like old stories are at risk of being lost as the years move on though, and journaling those things at the time is a good way to preserve them - ones from/about children are especially precious

@Cheeseness @cynblogger Yes--I'm so glad for my diary from the time my daughter was growing up, and it's fun to share with them now that they're older. 🥹🫶
