It's understandable and okay to have personal sexual or romantic preferences. However, when those preferences essentially equate to avoiding individuals who are Black, disabled, poor, trans, bi, fat, etc., it is harmful and toxic. It's always worth examining our preferences. When such attitudes are widespread across society, it is a form of social eugenics and limits opportunities for many people.

@AstroMancer5G I don't think it's wrong for people to be attracted or unattracted to specific genders or orientations. That's different than problematic stuff like fetishizing someone's race or always seeking big age gaps/ power differentials. I tend to think that whoever you are, you're someone's cup of tea. But I agree that culture should not be stigmatizing some bodies while setting the beauty standard on others
