YanConquered the Kiilopää circle trail today, and it offered a completely new perspective. The slopes are carpeted with a miniature wonderland: the low-growing dwarf birch (Betula nana) and the ultra-rare Kiilopää mountain birch (Betula pubescens subsp. czerepanovii, a unique local variant).
On the summit, the partly cloudy sky worked like a charm, casting a beautiful play of light and shadow across the vast, rolling fells. An absolutely magical scenery. 🌲⛅
