Here's an osprey at the start of a fishing dive. When an osprey spots a target, they basically just stop flying, go into a tuck position, let gravity take over and fall from the sky. Huntley Meadows Park, Alexandria, Virginia, USA 28-May-2026 #birds #birdphotography #naturephotography
@Cliftographer this photo looks badly AI-retouched 🫠
@ryanprior FYI - this is the cropped JPEG from Lightroom before I put it through Topaz. I had strong light and nailed the focus. You can see I really didn't do anything drastic to it.
@Cliftographer it's a beautiful photo! After Topaz the feathers don't look like feathers anymore. I don't think that program is doing you any favors, personally.
@ryanprior I'm not dismissive of your criticism. I post my photos for a general popular audience and this one has gotten one of the best responses I've gotten out of the hundreds I've posted. It's subjective but I do agree that over-processing a photo can lead to unreal-looking photos. I didn't think I had gone too far with this one but I will perhaps exercise more restraint in the future. #photography
@Cliftographer wishing you fabulous luck with your birds & hope your future photos get as much appreciation!
@ryanprior Thanks.
