An ode to the Fediverse:
@TwoClownsEating got me thinking seriously about visiting Portmeirion. And @Jess.Stetson clinched it by offering me a lift there. It was as beautiful and strangely interesting as they said, and amazing to start the visit with fresh feet since I didn't have to walk part of the way there.

Frankly shocked to not find a single reference to the TV show The Prisoner which was filmed there, though mind you the sixties are increasingly far away.

Did you stay in one of the quaint cottages the village keeps to rent out to visitors?

I didn't stay there, just a day visit. There's a whole shop dedicated to The Prisoner merch. I never saw the show but the merch looked cool.
