3/ Next we heard from Nataliia Lazareva presenting her work on a Data Driven Approach to Berlin’s Housing Crisis

Specifically she looked at the student housing situation - how bad is it, where is it most severe, and how could the situation be improved.

4/ Oliver Thamm was our 3rd #geomobBER speaker. Oliver discussed his passion project of building a global engine for simulation of antiquity civilizations for gaming.

A massively complex project involving all sorts of interesting geospatial challenges and datasets

The audience selected this talk for the coveted SplashMaps best speaker prize! 👏

5/ Things then took a nautical turn as Amir Borovac presented Orca https://getorca.com

A navigational tool for sailors, particularly recreational sailors, for all phases of the sailing journey

6/ Last, but not least, was Linda Ochwada of TerraTask https://www.terratask.de a tool to help facility managers and local governments better plan green spaces, particularly around the changing climate.

TerraTask's intuitive interface makes the costs and benefits of green space design transparent.
