What if neighbours worked together to make solar, battery backup, and home electrification easier and more affordable?

I'm exploring a community-led model for Ottawa that focuses on transparency, resilience, and reducing costs through neighbourhood-scale adoption.

No sales pitches. No exclusive vendors. Just neighbours helping neighbours make informed decisions.

Neighbourhood Solar & Energy Initiative — Ottawa

A resident-led effort to make solar, battery backup, and home energy upgrades easier, cheaper, and more transparent in Ottawa, Ontario.

@mgifford in the US there is a charity called Solar United Neighbors that helps communities form co-ops to group purchase solar. A similar idea, maybe worth a look for ideas. I joined my local group to install solar and batteries on my old house.

@Max Thanks for sharing this exciting resource! You posted quiet-public but this is too good not to spread so I threw the link out there with a couple of solar-ey hashtags.
