Programming and the web got worse after 2007 and programming was turned into a full employment scheme for all the failsons who were supposed to get jobs at financial institutions because the failsons running them crashed the economy. Now everything is run by failsons, and coding turned into to 200 layers of JavaScript crap, that is now 1,000 layers of LLM-extruded crap.
The profession was overrun by men who had been training to sell people crap financial products and steal their savings, then do coke off a stripper's thigh.
