Hoping everyone is having a great time at Flock to Fedora! We want to take some time to thank our sponsors who help us bring everyone together for this event.

#FlockToFedora

Flock wouldn't exist without Red Hat and we don't just mean the sponsorship.

Red Hat engineers are some of Fedora's most active upstream contributors. They maintain core packages, drive release engineering, and shape the direction of the distribution every single release cycle. Many of them are at Flock now!

Thank you for building Fedora alongside us!

Thank you to AWS for sponsoring Flock to Fedora 2026 at the Gold level!

AWS engineers contribute upstream across the Linux ecosystem from kernel work to cloud tooling that millions of developers rely on every day.

Proud to have AWS's support as the Fedora community gathers in Prague.

Thank you to Meta for sponsoring Flock to Fedora 2026 at the Gold level!

Meta's open source contributions span the Linux ecosystem from kernel-level work to developer tools used across the industry. Their support at this level reflects a real investment in the communities that build the infrastructure the internet runs on.

Thank you for your contributions to the Fedora community!

Thank you to @almalinux for sponsoring Flock 2026 at the Silver level!

AlmaLinux builds directly on the foundations that Fedora helped create. Their contributors work upstream, file bugs, and help make the broader Linux ecosystem stronger for everyone.

The Fedora family is bigger than just Fedora and we're glad you're part of it.

#FlockToFedora #Flock2026 #Fedora #OpenSource #AlmaLinux

Thank you to @rockylinux and @resf for sponsoring Flock 2026 at the Silver level!

Rocky Linux was built by a community that believes in what Fedora believes in - open, free, and community-driven Linux for everyone. Their contributors work upstream and their mission runs parallel to ours.

Glad to have you in Prague with us.

Thank you to @centos for sponsoring Flock 2026 at the Silver level!

CentOS and Fedora have always been deeply connected. CentOS Stream sits at the heart of that relationship, feeding directly into RHEL and drawing from Fedora's innovations. Their contributors and ours overlap in ways that make both projects stronger.

#FlockToFedora #Flock2026 #Fedora #OpenSource #CentOS

Thank you to Microsoft Azure for sponsoring Flock to Fedora 2026 at the Silver level!

Microsoft's support of open source goes beyond the cloud. Microsoft engineers contribute actively in Fedora and upstream to projects that power the Linux ecosystem every day!

#FlockToFedora #Flock2026 #Fedora #OpenSource #Azure

Thank you to Arm for sponsoring Flock 2026 at the Silver level!

Arm designs the chips that power billions of devices worldwide, and they are interested in enabling better Linux support as well!

#FlockToFedora #Flock2026 #Fedora #OpenSource #Arm #Linux

We hope Flock was super fun and productive for everyone involved!

We want to thank all of our sponsors one more time as the week closes. Thank you to Red Hat, AWS, Meta, @almalinux, @rockylinux, @opensuse, @centos, Arm, Microsoft Azure, Fleet, Zabbix, and @frameworkcomputer. You all helped make this possible.

See you next year!

@fedora

Seriously @fedora Amazon and meta ?

@fedora Meta investing in real communities and contributing to society, best joke I’ve heard in a while.
@fedora
I assume Meta forced you to spout this bullshit...
@fedora I seriously got a bad taste in my mouth…
@fedora while Metas financial support to open source is valuable, the question remains what their real motivation might be.
@fedora So you tell me I shouldn’t touch Fedora ever again? Thanks for the info.

@fedora
"Meta's open source contributions span the Linux ecosystem from kernel-level work to developer tools used across the industry"

Yes and that's BAD. You're the most corp-simping distro around, maybe you always have been, but it's obvious that these companies are literally evil and they still get thank you messages with love hearts from you folks.

Their contributions push out the rest of us. It's bad.

@krnlg @fedora go on kernel mailing list, and check what features were merged into kernel thanks to Meta, Amazon, Microsoft and Google.

Spoiler: You probably couldn't comfortably use Linux as daily driver desktop if not for them.

Big companies pouring developers, time and money into Linux is GOOD. And everyone who claims otherwise has the brain power of a 3-year old

@leniwcowaty
I'm well aware of all that, believe me. We do NOT have to hand it to the Nazis for helping us with our projects, though. Sorry not sorry. Fedora is ethics-washing here. If you want to be thanked for doing a good thing, you have to stop doing much more bad things alongside.
@fedora

@krnlg @fedora okay, so you literally have the brain power of a 3-year old. No point in further discussion.

Here you have Sponsor Prospectus for Flock To Fedora 2026, if you manage to read that.

@leniwcowaty
Also "you could not use it if not for them" is BS. Yes they've made many contributions, because they employ many talented developers and have like, all the money in the world. They shouldn't have all the money, they shouldn't be so big - and then other groups could have the resources to do things.
@fedora
@fedora
Jeff & Mark: "It rubs the lotion on its skin!"
Fedora: "Yes, sir. Of course, sir."
@fedora I'm sorry but that word 'Flock' has really been ruined by a particular hated company. Of course, teaming up with AWS and Meta also doesn't instill faith.
