Yesterday I watched #rebelmoon2. I didn't particularly enjoy part 1, but wanted to watch something while I worked on my trash bash ship, and it came up as recommended, and since I was only going to be paying a little attention to it? I picked the directors cut. More gore & nudity. I'm not going to watch the standard edition to see the differences.

It was fine, I guess. Parts of it felt very #40k, and I could see this being some backwater multi-system governorship situation. But really it was just a retelling of Seven Samurai.
I will say I enjoyed the big fight at the end! Did it make the whole 3 hours worth it? Eh. As long as you go into it with the right expectations (it's trash, but no worse than some beloved 80s sci-fi cult classics)
