Supported by Coimisiún na Meán this series is aimed at media and communications professionals across Ireland and connects participants with disabled people working across all areas of media – on screen, in journalism, and behind the scenes – to explore the challenges and opportunities around access, representation, and inclusion in Irish media.
We will host 5 sessions in total including sessions on:
1. Language and Ethical Storytelling
2. Accessing Production Spaces in Ireland as a Disabled Person
3. Representation of Disabled People in Irish Journalism
4. Representation of Disabled People in Irish Film, TV and Broadcast Media
5. Misinformation and Disinformation in the Media – The Impact on Disabled People
