I set up #rclone today on my #Linux_Mint, I'm a first time ever user of Linux #distros. I had to mount it myself, followed so many steps and also used the command thru the #Terminal to make it start sync automatically once I reboot my device. Otherwise, the guide told me I have to put a manual Terminal command each time. I feel like a programmer LOL. People say Linux Mint works out of the box and it's the most friendly distro and suitable for laymen like me who migrated from Windows. However, I'm making so much efforts on Linux, they're rewarding TBH, I fee victory each time. But now I feel any Linux distro user, even for #Mint will need to learn and try harder. It's not too easy as they say.

@Purplegengar25 Using rclone is quite an advanced thing for anyone. So well done.

But that doesn't mean that, in say Windows you can do the same thing more easily. If you want to do things differently, then you have to learn new ways too. And that's not a bad thing unless you don't enjoy learning.

With each step you regain autonomy, increase your power and choice. None of that comes free.

@happyborg @Purplegengar25 Just to echo this, I often see easy and familiarity being conflated.

I've been using Linux of some flavour as my daily driver for over 20 years, and any time I have to do anything on Windows that isn't the basic it feels more challenging than it should be.

Can't speak for everyone but at least for me that script is flipped due to using Linux so long. (that said even switching distros can add some friction).
