I was reminded while watching “The Doomsday Machine” that Zoë Saldana had a minor role as CPB Officer Dolores Torres, as Trekkie in The Terminal (2004), five years before her first appearance in the #KelvinTimeline. She mentions cosplaying as Yeoman Rand and ironically her favorite episode “The Doomsday Machine”. She would go on to play the alternative reality version of Nora Uhura, whose Prime Universe counterpart did not appear in said episode.
