The healthcare industry has the highest rate of third-party data breaches out of any sector, according to the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report In 2017, 13% of healthcare data breaches involved healthcare vendors. Fast forward to H1 2026, and that percentage has risen to 43%. With data breaches soaring, vendors are facing increased regulatory scrutiny, and new cybersecurity requirements are due for imminent release.
