June 15, 2018 - Following the Trump administration's "zero tolerance" policy announced in April 2018, The Department of Homeland Security stated that between April 19 to May 31, 2018, at the Mexico-United States border, there were 1,995 migrant children separated from 1,940 adults being held for criminal prosecution for an illegal border crossing.
