TBF we do it every year so we've gotten pretty good at it. Our primary data center is a green data center which means that there is a lot of non-ups power and so instead of having regular maintenance (on UPS) during the year, they have one big one every year where they do all the power work and testing and maintenance.
We have to get power-up done Thursday cuz Friday is a holiday. And ain't nobody wanna work on a holiday. 😃
@tankgrrl Oooh! Someone's going to push the Big Red Button! That's always fun. Unless it's the Giant Knife Switch Of Doom, which is even more fun and thinking about it ought to be mandated by law and electrical code for any operation drawing more than a couple hundred kilowatts of power because who doesn't love throwing giant knife switches?
Seriously, the industry would be 10x as awesome if we just had more of those. And giant sparking resonant transformers. Definitely need some of those.
