Rather than Linux on mobile phone and I am starting think it would make more sense to rethink laptops as smaller foldable devices.

Maybe foldable screens can cause a renewal of the laptop. A device that is more prone to actual creation than the phone.

My problem with having a laptop with me is the general bulk of the object with 10-11” being the minimal reasonable size to use an actual computer.

A 10” 4:3 screen folded in half would be like a very wide iPhone. Not the kind of thing you’d put in your pocket but maybe it should be integrated with the bag itself. Not computer in the bag but a bag that you open to unfold both keyboard and screen.
@santi like an iPad mini with keyboard?
@usuario If it wasn’t for the limited OS the hardware would be great. An iPad mini with Linux and some solid keyboard and all integrated in a bag meaning you wouldn’t need to get it out , just unfold and fold it back.
