txtx 🇪🇺@MAKS23 This looks like a false interpretation of what the general said. In the source article, he says that NATO needs to act (if necessary) to defend areas that border those areas, not that NATO will strike into Russia.
That interpretation is being pushed by Berliner Zeitung, which is a Putin-friendly paper. They are doing it to push the false narrative that non-AfD politicians are excited to go to war.

That is the response that NATO and Europe should have adopted from the start. The initial response has been fear of escalation, weak or no support in the beginning. If they had response firm and with a decisive response in support of Ukraine, the war would have finished almost before it began. It's a real lesson for any future attacks by Russia.
