First of all, we should be aware that we live in patriarchal societies all over the world, where women are segregated and devalued, and that this mindset is deeply ingrained in the 🧠 consciousness of most men. Using a word that is generally derogatory toward women reinforces precisely this power dynamic.
In German the common meaning of "Fotze" is cunt in the meaning of a vulgar name for a vulva and/or a term of abuse for a woman. But in some German idioms (i.e. Bavarian) it has a different (and non-sexual!) meaning of "Maul" for chops/maw.
It's no great problem to use "Fotze" in an explicit local context where such a idiom is mainly used. But even there it is a problem if it's used toward a woman. And it should not be used outside of such a context, as it would then have only the meaning mentioned above.
I know that "cunt" is often used to insult 🍆 men, even outside of UK an Ireland. But in any case, it has a sexual connotation - for men explicitly to degrade them to a devalued person "like women" - and this is reproducing the patriarchy.
Another example of the reproduction of violent patriarchal dynamics is the use of the phrase “Fuck ...”: This implies (and implies) sexual violence—an incitement to rape the person being insulted:
