Last week, Dutch electricity transmission system operator TenneT published the yearly update on security of supply. It doesn't look good, with more hours of shortages coming up as soon as 2030. More dispatchable (gas) power plants would be needed to prevent that.

@Sustainable2050 A civilian organization should be formed with the power of dragging energy companies and grid owners to court for any minute of outage we experience. we've been paying large amounts of taxes and charges on top of our already insanely high energy prices with the expectation that would be used to maintain and expand the grid. They could have known this was coming.
