Sadly, I will never be able to use this glaze again because it was a "Mystery Glaze" mixed from the dregs in the bottom of our glaze tool wash bucket. These are not replicable.
My biggest issue with #pottery right now is I CAN make nice things, but I'm extremely inconsistent because I just don't get enough time in the studio to get really good.
@APBBlue Isn't it interesting the way the mindset of mass production has convinced us of the connection between being consistent and being good. You're good, and often enough to be proud of it.

@APBBlue how much time is enough?

Fab bowl 🙂

@APBBlue Isn't that the point of doing things one by one? At least, as far as I know. If you want consistent, you use a machine. When you do it by hand, each piece will be unique.
@flowrider I guess I mean that I wish I could consistently make good things. Sometimes I can't manage to make anything at all.

@APBBlue Well, if you think it went wrong, maybe you learned something?

I don't really do things with my hands, but as far as I know it takes a while for the experience to show.

@APBBlue I saw these posts out of order and was momentarily unable to parse this one. Then I saw the preceding toot. "Ah. Pottery, not donuts."
@APBBlue haha nice it was a happy accident

@APBBlue

Often I will throw together a dinner based on what we have to hand or what bits and snippets we need to use up before they go bad, and sometimes it works, and Tom will say something like, "This is really good! Too bad we'll never have it again."

@APBBlue nice bowl!
@petrillic Thank you! It turned out nice.
@APBBlue Really nice, Amy!!!
@APBBlue that is gorgeous!
@mees Thank you!!! 🥰
@APBBlue
Very nice bowl! I love that glaze, it's very good when it has that spotty sort of organic pattern.
@silvermoon82 Yes, I like it too! I'm honestly not sure if it's because of the glaze or the clay, which is also spotted.
