Because we're being told we were alarmist and overreacting when we first warned.
And now, when the situation is what it is today were told that were can't change anything fast or with violence because that would be rash and on "their level, because when they go low, we'll go high. And we will fight them at the ballot."
And when there will be no ballot anymore they will just have stored talking to us because they're busy saving their own ass and they will ' both sides' it and chime in in the fascist's talking point of our rhetoric having been too harsh anyways.
All that said: WE ARE 99% AGAINST 1.
If we just start realizing that, we can win this to our terms.

Part of it is acting might mean violence, and
people are OK with large scale abstract violence,
but cannot accept the small scale violence of
stopping small numbers of people from doing
bad things.
