We've removed the Strava heatmap layer from Freemap — displaying it on our site wasn't compatible with Strava's API terms. It was useful for many of you and we're sorry to see it go, but fair data and licensing matters more to us.
Tracing paths from Strava into OpenStreetMap is still fine — done in your editor (iD, JOSM) with your own Strava login. See the OSM wiki on Strava.
