2026 gaming backlog 32 - Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (PC)

Somehow both wildly imbalanced and yet a vast upgrade on an already excellent game. Easily one of the best crossover fighters ever made, and a testament to Capcom's mastery of the craft. It's still got a crappy final boss though!

@euphoriagremlin totally agree - all of these Marvell vs Capcom games are inbalanced, and my own thoughts is became the characters are from different universe/franchises, which just doesn't work well imo

@woodycool They sit in a very strange place because it's at once imbalanced but also absolutely brilliant. Goes to show how good Capcom were in the heyday at making 2D fighters. I've no idea how it is to play competitively but as a game between friends MvC2 is up at the top of pile.
