The best tax system would be a progressive wealth tax. The securities based lending system they implement to avoid paying taxes actually proves this is doable.

It would reduce the disincentives to buy stuff and pay more people decent incomes (the libertarian complaint about other taxes), while providing a disincentive to hoard money.
