Got myself a silicone popping bowl, some purple popcorn kernels, and a small bag of extra fine ground sea salt.

The popping bowl has two level lines to make either a small or big batch and a lid that’s placed in gently to contain the popping; it slowly rises up during the pop process.

Two batches: 1st with no fat or salt, 2nd in avocado oil and the salt. Definitely preferred the latter. After comparing, 1st was set out by the back fence for the yard denizens.

Delicious treat for all!

My favourite popcorn is fresh popcorn. I cannot find fresh kernels anymore. The name brand ones are always stale.

@Pinchy63 I order mine directly from a farming cooperative. Learned to do that back when I was working at a farm bank.

Better variety and quality of kernels. Purple, blue, red, ones that leave barely any kernel shells and are soft for direct snacking, others that pop big and firm (for making popcorn balls)

OMG that sounds so good! Popcorn doesn’t seem to be a big thing where I live.
