@[email protected] ugh, I know. I see the comments. Im a historian. I know the first time we see "white" as a human descriptor. It was 1693 virginia, territory law that defines white as "not negroe, not indian". And bans criminally someone white marrying anyone negroe or indian. Prior to that, the term wasnt used. Ever. The term "white" when referring to a human is abhorrent. Its a list of "what im not", not "where im from". Black means their ancestry came directly from Africa, or the better name, Alkebulan (Egyptian). Fighting this has been a losing battle. Most think that "white" is a positive demographic of location, and its absolutely not. The Irish have and havent been white. The Italians have and havent been white. Chunks of western Europe have and havent been white. White is this thing that is so shifty, depending who theyre trying to exclude today. Even the white supremacists over on stormfront couldnt decide what "white" is. There was a thread thousands of posts long that basically said "we'll know when we look at you". I know for my little slice of world, I will not identify as white... Even though im a dark blonde, blue eyed, 6'5" pale skinned male.
