Kirby’s Adventure for NES.

this is a piece of art. pushing the console to its absolute limits. it still looks good today and just flows with the animations and soundtrack.

@hbons Excellent pick. I need to replay that game again.

FWIW the game also has a remake on GBA called Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland with an additional campaign where you play as Meta Knight. I believe both are a part of Nintendo Switch Online's Nintendo Classics NES/GBA apps as well.

@hbons now i kind of want to check that game out. Wild to read that it came out when the hardware was 10 years old.

@hbons checking it out now, it's pretty indeed!

As an occasional Mario platform player, the mechanics are a wild mix of familiar and alien, so far.

I had to do a little run through on this today trying out recent Highscore updates.

I was happy to find that @alice had a .foundry in there so i could just type foundry run, and it works _really_ well with this rom!
