I have a 5 year old who's really into some fantasy stories I'm telling her and I wanted to get her started on #RolePlayingGames. Any recommendation for a system (homebrew would be better) for kids who can't yet read?

@ansible thanks! I'll give it a shot. I didn't know that website either. Nice!

@leouieda Little Monster Detectives and Mausritter both play well at that age.

If you want a good homebrew system to overlay onto any theme, Year Zero Mini works well for simplicity and only requires being able to recognise the pips for 5 and 6... but you could easily substitute in the colour dice from Twister.

The real win for the last two is the space based inventory. Does the equipment card fit the available space or not?

@Miyagiyoda thanks! I'll see if I can find them. I'm starting her on a story without much in terms of rules just to get her used to the structure and leaving decisions up to dice rolls. But I'll soon need a proper system.

@leouieda I don’t have any personal experience (so take this with a pinch of salt) but I have heard positive things about No Thank You Evil.
