When walking around a surplus store, like #AxMan in #MSP I’m filled with ideas of how to use every little doodad on the shelves. Same goes for a really great, old hardware store.

But visiting a big box hardware store, nothing. They have a vast profusion of the most limited variety. It’s an effort to fit their limited offerings into my real world projects.

Big box stores murder creativity at their entrances.

Excellent analogy. The search engine gives results a white male finds useful because that’s who made it.

Home Depot has everything for a house no more than 25 years old.
