@tfrank_de one of my best cycling buddies was Mark Beaumont's on-board mechanic for his round the world record setting. The support planning and effort that goes into attempts like this is just incredible.

I guess it does bother me a bit though that they're often treated as comparable to unsupported attempts in the media. I'm not sure it's even in the same ballpark.

@jbenjamint It is! Followed Mark's preparation and actual ride as well as loved listening to Jenny Grahams Audio Book of her record. So awesome!. Admit that Lael's first ride wasn't lighting me up so much. But still applaud her for that. And now wish her all the best for the out and out world record!

In today's World I'm sadly more anxious about open borders than anything else. And that's probably where all the planning started and revolved around.
