At this point, if you're still planning to sit in your living room, sportswashing genocide and fascism (or worse, have given money to support it by buying a ticket), then get the fuck off my timeline.

Same...
I agree completely.
Should be totally boycotted, but there will be plenty fools, I'm sure 🤷♀️🤦♀️
@IsabelB @HarriettMB "I'm only one person, what difference does it make" 🙄
Eurovision lost 35 *million* viewers this year, thanks to people who don't employ this bullshit argument.
I don't even know who won it - nor do I care...
Same will apply to the football/soccer thing.
@IsabelB @HarriettMB Some Irish friends of mine used to have amazing Eurovision parties back in the 90s - that's the last time I paid any attention to it.
Tbf it's easy for me to say "boycott the World Cup" because I wouldn't have watched it anyway (no TV), but I boycott plenty stuff I do like because of its connection to Israel.
Same - we used to make a night of it in the pub and it was always heaving and great craic.
No more...
@IsabelB @HarriettMB There was a huge gay contingent who attended every year in a variety of costumes/drag - memorably one person who came in full Marie-Antoinette garb!
I took a bunch of sceptical (about Eurovision, not homophobic) workmates one year and although they started the evening lurking huddled together in a corner, by the end they were dancing on tables and swapping numbers with all and sundry (including Marie Antoinette) 😁
Brilliant! 🤣
