My first of many upcoming images from my recent trip to Japan last month. This was the first place I had to visit in the city as soon as I got off the train coming from Narita Airport. It was centrally located in Tokyo, a short train ride away from my stay in Ueno.

As it's a very well-known spot in Tokyo, it was unsurprisingly very touristy and crowded. However, seeing the temple and the gate pictured here was well worth it, as it displays beautiful carvings, scriptures and colours throughout the area.
