Can't decide to spend my hard earned money on either a #Switch2, which I've been planning on getting since release and would be a great addition to the set-up for both me and my kids....

Or to spaff money on a retro-doodad that I don't really need in the #RetroidPocketClassic, or spend even more money and get myself an #AnbernicRG477v

What to do...

@danielholt if it were me, I'd go Switch 2.

@emkingma

I went with the RG477v.

The thinking being that I'm going to get the 'family' the Switch 2 for Xmas.

Might find a decent sale price for it *and* it gives me a chance to clear through the backlog of the games I've already got access too before wanting to play #DonkeyKongBananza and #MetroidPrime4

@danielholt Last night I tried to convince myself I wanted Switch 2 for my 40th birthday but I couldn’t do it. The screen is too much of a downgrade for me coming from an OLED Switch. The RG477V looks really nice but I want one of the more pocketable 4.7” handhelds. I’d like the RG477M but I think it’s too heavy and expensive so I put the RG476H on my wish list. I like my RG40XXH but a bigger screen and more power would be great.

I have been most interested in PC handhelds lately. Would like to get one before they all become ridiculously expensive.

@oldthink34

I think they already did. I flat out wouldn't recommend a Steamdeck at this point, and my Deck is the best bit of tech I've ever owned.

I also have the RG40XXV. It's been great and has gotten me into some game I otherwise just wouldn't have played....but I want something bigger and more powerful.

The Switch can wait. It'll be a great Xmas gift for everyone.
