Scipio Africanus remains a badass either way 💪
Explanation: Scipio Africanus is often depicted in one of two ways, both of them historical! In his youth, Scipio wore his hair relatively long, in a ‘Greek’ style, and is described as being handsome and graceful. Many (suspected) Roman depictions of Scipio, however, portray him as bald or balding. Given the stress of his career, especially in constantly fighting with a Senate suspicious of his popularity in saving the fucking Republic from Hannibal, one can understand why he might end up a bit haggard later in life!
The depiction on the right is from Ad Astra, an excellent and actually very accurate manga about the Second Punic War.
